Launched in December 2024, Local Sounds is Giorkin's mini-concert series dedicated to celebrating the creativity of emerging independent Cypriot artists and ensembles.

Each edition is artist-led, giving selected musicians the freedom to curate and present programmes that reflect their unique artistic identity. From newly commissioned works to existing repertoire, Local Sounds offers a platform for experimentation, expression, and meaningful artistic dialogue.

More than a concert series, Local Sounds is a space for connection. Every performance concludes with an open jam session, bringing together artists, audiences, and the wider community to share ideas, create music, and celebrate the spirit of collaboration.

Through Local Sounds, Giorkin continues its commitment to supporting the next generation of Cypriot musicians while creating engaging and accessible experiences that strengthen the island's contemporary music community.
